Confusion between amlip and metoprolol
I have problem of social anxiety related high blood pressure and high pulse rate when anxious . So my general physician prescribed amlip 10 mg which i take it from 3 months but when i go for routine checkup in hospital my bp goes upto 160 / 110 and pulse upto 140 due to anxiety even after taking amlip 10 . Then now i take opinion from another doctor he told me to stop amlip 10 and start metoprolol 50 mg for high blood pressure and pulse rate...so is it ryt decision to start metaprolol for my condition or not ? Plz help me ( my all reports are normal )

First you need to make sure that is your hypertension only due to anxiety like when you get in hospitals or get anxious ? Or is it essential hypertension what people call HIGH BP commonly..? So check your blood pressure at home when you are relaxed,  ideally soon after waking up. If it's only due to anxiety you don't need to take antihypertensive daily.
