Firstly, ciplox Tz is antibiotic, that has to be taken for infective diarrhoea. Most diarrhoea that occurs are viral in origin and don't need antibiotics. They usually subside with symptomatic rx and lactobacillus capsules like vizylac or sporolac and taking plenty of fluids orally. If u have started taking ciplox Tz , u must ideally complete the full course of 5-7 days. The nausea and metallic taste that u r experiencing is due to tinidazole or Tz part of ur medication and will persist till the time u take the medication. It can be reduced by taking a PPi (pantoprazole) with domperidone empty stomach, or taking the tablet ciplox Tz 1 hr after meals.
Next Steps
stop ciplox Tz if the nausea persists, and vizylac should also be stopped after ur symptoms improve or that itself can lead to constipation
If the nausea is severe or persistent, consult your doctor for guidance. They may adjust your dosage or recommend alternative medications.
Health Tips
If you're experiencing nausea while taking Ciplox TZ, try :
- Take the medication with food to reduce stomach upset
- Avoid spicy or fatty foods
- Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water
- Consider taking an anti-nausea medication (consult your doctor)
