As mentioned the patient is having pain on right side of chest while coughing and changing positions...it indicates that person may be having musculoskeletal pain or Pleurisy or lung infection like pneumonia or bronchitis. You may have to clear it by having a chest Xray, CBC and CRP levels test seeing whether there is an infection or it is just a musculoskeletal pain

There can be multiple causes that result in right sided chest pain. If you have fever, you will have to rule out pulmonary infectious causes. Chondritis is a cause. It's better to do a Vitamin D & Calcium test.

The type of the chest pain you have described, could be due to muscular.Short duration could be treated by analgesic.However long duration symptoms should be investigated by chest x-ray initially and CT scan if needed
