Cervical stitch removal

Asked for Male, 28 Years

My wife had undergone cervical encirclage/ stitch at the 24th week of pregnancy. Now she is 34th week of pregnancy. Doctor is saying he will do C section at the end of 36 th week. And the cervical stitch will be removed 3 months after c section. Is it normal
