Cervical Cerclage- need opinion
Hello, Today we had our NT scan at 12weeks 6 days. And Cervix length is 27mm. We are expecting twins. Dr. has suggested Cervical Stitch as a precaution. My wife is already on vaginal progesterone 400mg daily. I wanted to know if the procedure is safe and the success rates as well. Thank you

The procedure has its own risks And failure rates But with a twin pregnancy and the length of 2.7 at 12 weeks it is always better to undergo the procedure

Yes it's better to get the stitch considering the twin pregnancy and the cervical length being short

Have u had any preterm birth or second trimester abortion before? If not then it’s not indicated the cerclage. Only serial cervical length monitoring.
