You have to first adjust and think about your posture. While studying use a tilted desk support that will keep your neck straight - use a cervical pillow for sleep, and focus on strengthening neck muscle. You can consider going to physio.
If symptoms are still unbearable, you may consider lower dose of Pregabalin (50 mg) and see if that suits you
Physiotherapy with frequent movements of the neck and strengthening exercises is the way out .
Medicines is what you have to take cautiously.
It's Gabapentin whhich isn't suiting you at this moment .
Kindly stop taking the same .
