After reviewing the CBC report, there is anaemia, to make and confirm the diagnosis you need some additional tests like iron profile, peripheral smear examination. Even after making the diagnosis we have find out the cause of this, why it happened in first place. For further management, you can consult me.

Low iron causing low blood (haemoglobin). Her age this is usually due to heavy periods causing blood loss. Do the following, 1. Ferrous sulphate 200mg once a day for 8 weeks 2. Repeat blood test CBP after 8 weeks 3. If heavy periods causing the low iron, consider seeing a Gynaecologist. All the best. www.jgsr-health-education.in

I have carefully reviewed the CBC report.
Next Steps
✅ Step 1: Confirm Cause Do these tests: • Serum Ferritin (very important) • Serum Iron • TIBC • Stool occult blood (if needed) • Check menstrual history ⸻ ✅ Step 2: Start Iron Treatment If no contraindication: Oral iron: • Ferrous ascorbate / Ferrous sulfate • Equivalent to 100–200 mg elemental iron daily Take: • On empty stomach (if tolerated) • With vitamin C • Avoid tea/coffee 1 hour before/after Duration: Minimum 3 months Continue 1–2 months after Hb normalizes. ⸻ ✅ Step 3: When To Seek Urgent Care If she has: • Severe breathlessness • Chest pain • Syncope • Hb
Health Tips
Dietary Support Include: • Dates • Pomegranate • Beetroot • Spinach • Jaggery (limited) • Red meat (if non-veg) • Black chana • Sesame seeds But remember: Diet alone will NOT correct Hb 8.6 quickly. Supplements are required. ⸻ Important: High RDW confirms active deficiency — good sign because it responds well to iron. Mild low TLC could be: • Nutritional • Viral Repeat CBC after 4 weeks of treatment. ⸻ This is moderate iron deficiency anemia. Not life-threatening today, but it must be treated. If you tell me: • Does she have heavy periods? • Any recent pregnancy? • Any chronic illness? I can guide more precisely. Please start treatment soon — correcting anemia early prevents cardiac strain and long-term complications.
