No need to worry you’ve done right the ARV and TT shots👍 For a stray cat scratch Rabies Immunoglobulin is recommended along with the vaccine for full protection, especially since the cat’s status is unknown. Book a quick consultation with me right now I’ll review the details confirm if RIG is still needed timing matters, and guide you on the complete schedule. 😊

Rig should be taken within 72 hours of the bite or scratch. Complete the vaccination schedule.

go back to the government hospital or a tertiary infectious disease care center immediately to receive RIG. It must be administered as soon as possible (ideally within the first 7 days of the first vaccine dose). You must complete the full remaining ARV schedule exactly on time (Day 3, 7, 14, and 28) as designated by the hospital. Keep the scratch site clean by flushing it gently under running water with soap if not already done. Do not apply tight bandages, stitches, or home remedies to the open scratch.
Next Steps
To visually inspect the depth of her wound through a secure image upload and establish your definitive day-wise vaccine safety timeline, please book a full consultation session via my Practo profile."
Health Tips
If 7 days pass after administering the first dose of the rabies vaccine, RIG is no longer indicated because the body's active immunity has already started developing. Time is of the essence.
