Carton milk safety
Hello Doctor, Is Carton milk safe to consume i mean to say some carton milk are 2 to 3 months old from packing date and it is safe to to consume 2 months old milk where expery date is 3 months from packing? Milk should be consume with 2 to 3 days so how is to consume carton milk which is 1 to 2 months old.

Hi Fresh milk is the best option for daily consumption..when at traveling and where fresh milk is not available that time you can opt for UHT processed and packaged milk..which has expiry date on it and is safe to consume...you can also consume it within one day of opening it..otherwise refridgerate it and consume within 3 days after opening.. Thus fresh milk is always a viable choice..to go for...

Hello user When carton milk is packed it is processed in such a way that it will safe till the date is written but when you open it should be consumed in a day. About safety that it is safe you can have it but what don't you use packet milk. I think in India packet milk is available everywhere. Try to use packet milk if not get then carton milk is good

Hi Fresh milk should be consumed in aday . Carton milk is well processed that is the reason you can consume it for long but once the box is open you have to consume in aday.

Hi, Carton milk is preserved using UHT- Ultra Heat Treatment. Thus the expiry is of 3 months. Once its opened it has to be refrigerated immediately and used within 3 days. This could be good for travelling. All said and done, for health reasons fresh milk is the best as there are no preservatives.
