CAN I CATCH RABIES...

Hi.3-4 days before while walking on street a dog started chasing me for no reason...somehow i managed to get out of it.and a man near by watching this came to me and said that it was a close call...the dog was about to bite my leg.but i felt nothing like touch of dog.no scratch.but i'm worried since then.do i need vaccination.Ans in detail..plzz
