Bruise or a disease?

I am not sure what this is under the nail of my big toe. It feels just like a bruise because when I push it, it hurts a little. But I don't ever remember hurting my toe. Could this be something like ubungual melanoma or am I overreacting? Is it just a bruise? I've had it for a few weeks now.its the little coloured bit on the big toe...on the side next to the other toe.
