BP tablet change
We have consulted a doctor a couple of days ago to change y mothers BP tablet, we have used a tablet as suggested by the doctor but the BP has not subsided. prev tab - aten 50 current tab - metosartan 25. please suggest an alternative.

Hello, Tab TELMISERTAN H one before breakfast. Low salt, low fat , least oil.walking twenty minutes morning and evening. Plenty of liquids like nimupani coconut water butter milk.light dite with least oil n spices.ok.

The doses need to changed. Atenolol needs to be changed. A full profile of her BP readings taken at the same time in the same position preferably by the same person should be done for at least 5 days.
Next Steps
Blood tests: Creatinine, Urine routine and microscopy ECG, preferably 2D ECHO as well. If she is over 50,  random blood sugar to rule out diabetes.
