• This appears to be a boil (furuncle) that has progressed to a localized skin infection/abscess • The presence of discharge, surrounding swelling, and lack of reduction suggests it is not resolving on its own and may be deeper-seated • There is also a possibility of secondary infection or incomplete drainage, which is why healing is delayed Next Steps • The lesion may need clinical assessment for drainage and infection control • Monitor for increase in size, redness spreading, fever, or severe pain • If recurrent, consider evaluation for underlying factors like diabetes or immunity issues Helpful Tips / Words of Caution • Do not squeeze or try to burst it, as it can worsen infection • Keep the area clean, dry, and covered if discharging • Avoid friction or pressure on that area • Maintain good hygiene and avoid sharing towels/clothes • If pain, swelling, or discharge increases → seek urgent care Kindly consult with me via Practo for detailed evaluation and treatment
