Hello, Mallory-Weiss tears are most often caused by forceful or long-term vomiting or coughing. Esophagogastroduodenoscopy is suggested to confirm diagnosis. From how long you have gum problem . chances of bleeding will be there you have gum infection or low platelet count . Consult general surgeon and OGD is required he'll refer you to gastroenterologist.
