Since many years I m suffering from high VP 150/80... I m regularly taking metaprolol xl 25 mg in the morning daily...one month back bi was having slight dizziness haziness..I got my bp checked...it showed 101/60...I consulted my doctor who changed to tamushq 40 mg daily ...still my bp is fluctuating ...all my blood reports r normal...please advice

Monitor BP for 3 days twice a day... if more than 140/90 despite medication, we may have to change either dose or drug. If BP is less then needs to evaluated and decided if medication needs careful tapering or not. Also watch for diarrhea/dehydration- in such cases BP may drop but later on u will need to continue.

Initial fluctuations are expected after a change in medication .. but u r now on a better drug, can continue it ....

BP at this age is considerable 150/80 according to age , it is not high BP . U can continue ur medications no issues , but u keep check ur bp if its fluctuating will adjust d dose of your medications will advice wat to do further ,there are many reasons for fluctuations .So you shud have proper follow up .
