Your measured BP on different days is above 140/100 it's stage 2 hypertension. Telmisartan 20 mg is a good antihypertensive which could be taken once a day - follow a particular time. It's important to keep your BP under check , ideally below 130/80 . Additionally you can do the diet modification with generous fruits and vegetables  , salt intake restriction and 30 minutes exercise everyday for 5 days in a week.

Kindly follow the advice and medication prescribed by the prescribing doctor. Trust the process. You have Stage 2 hypertension which needs to be managed through medication. You'll be needing this medication for long and the dose will be managed accordingly.
