Hi Nothing to worry One of your reading is 138/98 and other is 134/83 Your first reading is very High but your second reading is near normal Actually stress both physical and mental, sleep deprivation, increased salt intake or pain can also increase the blood pressure To get correct reading, ask the concerned person to sit quietly in a quiet room for 5 mins and then record the reading from left hand. Also ask the concerned person to follow salt and oil restricted diet For further queries connect and consult with me

Your BP above 130 for 2 days may be due to stress, poor sleep, excess salt, caffeine, or recent illness. Please monitor it twice daily for the next 2–3 days (sit calmly 5 min before checking). Avoid: tea/coffee, salty foods, stress, and heavy exercise. Do: good hydration and 7–8 hrs sleep.
Next Steps
Update me with the next 1–2 days If repeated readings are ≥140/90 so I can guide further.
Health Tips
Also get basic tests: CBC, KFT, LFT, TSH, fasting sugar, lipid profile, urine routine.

Repeat the reading Method - take BP in the left arm keeping the hand supported on table( sitting posture) 3 times ( each after a gap of 5- 10 mins). Also, get manual BP reading ( apply same method). If it remains high consult GP/ Physician near by. Reduce salt intake.

First of all measure bp correctly - sit 5 mins calmly before measuring bp - avoid tea coffee , smocking before 30 min - measure 2 readings apart with gap of 5 to 15 min If then bp remains high # In this young age mostly reason is Stress, anxiety Poor sleep Excess salt intake Pain / migraine Dehydration Hormonal fluctuations (periods) Thyroid problems Pregnancy-related BP changes Certain medicines (painkillers, decongestants) There can be any causes , but you don't have to worry & if you consult me I will explain what you have to do & what not to
Next Steps
-Reduce salt intake   eg- papad , pickle ,  processed food , restaurant food etc. - Hydration drink 1.5 to 2 l water in a day - Eat Potassium rich food - banana , coconut water , spinach - avoid tea, coffee , smocking , energy drinks - light walking try this for 1 to 2 weeks if then bp remains high then you can consult me ... take care Dr. Dilip

Monitor her BP twice daily for a week.A single reading while measuring the BP is not enough. She could start salt restriction, follow a healthy diet and exercise regularly. If the above measures are not able to maintain the BP below 135/85 after 2months , she may need BP lowering medicines

The BP isn't too high to be alarmed, so don't worry. It could be due to the time of day, could be due to mild stress, and multitude of factors.
Next Steps
try to check the BP twice a day, and record it for the next two to three days.
Health Tips
if it were to get too high( i.e 150+ SBP), kindly give her  Half a tablet of AMLONG 5mg for quick control, unless she is allergic to it. In the meantime, avoid excess salt consumption and begin drinking 3 to 3.5 lt of water a day with adequate fibre and nutrition. thank you.

98 is borderline high. Let her follow salt restricted diet, avoid fatty food,  do regular physical exercise and relax adequately. Get blood sugarHbA1c, lipid profile done. Shae results online. Get B.P checked after a month of following above measures.

Hello, I understand your concern. It's good that you are monitoring your blood pressure. Readings consistently above 130/80 mmHg are considered elevated and should be properly evaluated.
Next Steps
A diagnosis of high blood pressure is not based on just one or two days of readings. Here is what you should do: Maintain a BP Log: Please check your BP twice daily (once in the morning, once in the evening) for the next 5 days. Write down all the readings. Check Your Technique: Ensure you are resting for 5 minutes before checking. Sit quietly with your feet flat on the floor and your arm supported at heart level. Note Symptoms: Be aware of any new symptoms like headaches, dizziness, or blurred vision. Based on this detailed BP log, a proper management plan can be made.
Health Tips
I strongly recommend you start a paid consultation here on Practo. You can upload your BP log and we can discuss your lifestyle and medical history in detail to determine the next steps. You can book a consult with me directly through my profile.

The bp is borderline. Needs monitoring and follow up. Meanwhile you can do lifestyle modifictions which include proper sleep, restriction of salt and regular excercise.. If bp shoots to higher value again. Proper consultation is required with a physician

Recheck BP properly (sit 5 mins, 3 readings, avg): if ≥135/85 → see doctor today. Take pregnancy test (sudden BP rise common in early pregnancy). Avoid salt, caffeine, stress; sleep well, light walk 20 mins. Visit GP for blood tests (thyroid, kidney), urine, ECG. ER if ≥160/100 or headache/chest pain/blurred vision.
