Bleeding after endoscopy
I was loosing my weight .i lost 8-9 kgs ..went to gastroenterologist they did my endoscopy+biopsy  and said that u have "EROSIVE fundal gastritis" with active blood oozing from fundal mucosa "" I used to have yellow stool throughout the year but after endoscopy my stool turn totally red (red bloody diarhheal stool ) next day after my APC was done my stool went norml but after two days stool were black coloured with norml consistency . My que is - why after endoscopy so much of bleeding occured ...ws it due to biospy ? Or like they tore the tissue wrongly that the blood came out in  so much quantity during biopsy Plz answer !

Bleeding can occur after biopsy. Biopsy has to be taken from the ulcer area. Which is already inflammed. Because of which there is a lot of risk of bleeding. To stop that bleeding various methods are used during endoscopy. Many times those measures are not able ti control bleeding.
