I am having Bipolar Disorder 1 and currently on Lithium Carbonate 300 mg and Flouxtine 20 mg. Will I have to take medicines lifelong or not? What is exact procedure to cure this?

Hello, Its always better to be on a low dose mood stabilizer then to have a relapse. So its advisable to be on medication as long as possible. Lithium has to be continued for at least 3 years. If still you want to stop medication it has to be done under supervision, learn about recognizing early signs of relapse and what to do if symptoms recur.
