I am having Bipolar Disorder 1 and currently on Lithium Carbonate 300 mg and Flouxtine 20 mg.

Its always better to be on a low dose mood stabilizer then to have a relapse. So its advisable to be on medication as long as possible. Lithium has to be continued for at least 3 years.
