Batholine absess
I have batholine abscess on the left side. I have already removed the gland 7 years ago.but absess comes every year. My stitches gets swollen and have pain.it is drained now but there is small absess left but no pus is coming.it is soft when i touch and have pain when i sit. Can you suggest permanent solution of this problem? can i apply su mag cream now.

hello mam.... The bartholins abscess requires complete excision of the gland and curettege under proper antibiotic coverage to prevent the recurrences. Post excision less chances of similar abscesses to be formed. Its better if u can get urself checked once again. The magnesium sulphate ointment might give u only symptomatic relief from the swelling if its there and is not of much use in presence of infection.
