Sometimes severe inner ear infection can cause loss if taste sensation or numbness. Do you have any weakness , or loss of sensation over your face? Difficulty in closing your eyes? Difficulty in speaking or eating? If yes then you may need further evaluation. Review with a neurologist. You will need to be treated with antibiotics, n nsaids for your ear infection.
