Baby weight
Baby birth weight: 1.94 kg. Now at 16 months, weight is 8.22 kg and height 77 cm. Is it normal? I am giving him 3 major meals and 1 snacks. He is on formula feed taking approx 320 ml of milk per day. Weight gain is slow. I am giving him recipes made up of various foods, ghee, butter, oats, makhana, dates, almond, boiled egg, rice , dal, wheat roti,vegetables, banana and various fruits and fish( weekly once). Not yet started on cheese, chicken, curd, paneer. Please suggest.

There is catch up growth but its still in the lower centiles If the baby is following his/her growth line its ok If dipping centiles, then should be evaluated for failure to thrive Also are the developmental milestones upto age? Continue 4 calorie dense meals a day with milk And iron vit D and calcium supplements if indicated

Everything looks ok. I hope you are not giving dry fruits as whole. At this age chocking can happen.

As birth weight was low, weight gain actually affected, but this is very nice that you are giving variety of foods with adequate frequency of meals. You can start curd, paneer and non veg also. No point to delay these. He will catch up his weight very soon. Your efforts will not go empty.
