Formula milk can cause constipation
So since you have already started top milk
Give him boiled cooled water sip by sip
That should take care
Kids sometimes pass motions once in a week
Only if he is cranky or troubled give colicaid drops

Dear Mother,
You are taking best possible care of the baby...
I can understand.
But due to formula milk such conditions may occur in infants..
Breastfeeding is the best for such times.
If you wanr to resume breast feeding kindly consult online...

No infection.now.
Bottle is no problem. Just do proper cleaning with soap and water.
If stools are very hard like marbles, then start medicine, after consulting a paediatrician.
Relax.
Not any serious issue

Your baby appears absolutely normal.
Formula milk causes constipation as such. But babies can go upto a week without pooping. As long as your baby is comfortable and not vomiting or having a distended abdomen and passing flattish, don’t worry.
Your paediatrician was right in telling it was a bottle infection. Black and green stools are signs of infection.
It’s best to avoid bottles competely.
If you need to have bottles, make sure it’s sterilised after each feed. And also discard the bottle of formula you were using when your baby got the infection. Also, it’s a good practice to discard whatever formula is left in the bottle after 4 weeks and opening a new bottle.
7.5kg at 4-5 months is a very good weight. He just doesn’t need bottles.
Bottle feeding is a major problem for repeated infection in infants. Try feeding with spoon.
Not passing stool since 4 days is not a problem if he is feeding well and Abd is not distended.
Wait he will pass stool.
Please stop bottle as well as formula milk, as it is the source of infection and constipation
Give only breast feeds till 6 months of age
That is sufficient for the baby
Also please wash all the droppers thoroughly after giving medicine
Don’t worry as the infection can be controlled with medications
Don’t do stool test often as this causes only anxiety
Can do Thyroid function test if constipation continues
Few pus cells are normally present in the stools.
Most common diarheal infection in infants is the viral infection. No antibiotic can kill the virus and moreover the infection subsides by its own in 3-7 days depending on the virus type.
Avoid bottle feeds. It leads to nipple confusion and later on teeth orientation is also hampered.
Breast feed till he becomes 2 year old. Start weaning foods after he completes 6th month of age but continue breast feeds as well.
