500 gm weight gain per month is good enough. He appears to be of adequate weight for his age. Try variety of food items and check which is his liking. Mostly children like slightly sweet tasting foods. Don’t offer bland and tasteless foods. Offer fruits and yellow of the egg. Experiment various foods or commercially available ready made age appropriate baby foods. There are no medicines worth trying for increasing food intake.

At 10 months, a temporary reduction in solid food intake is quite common, especially during teething, increased activity, or developmental phases. The good signs are that he remains active, drinks milk well, and his weight gain appears acceptable (2.6 kg at birth to 7.9 kg at 10 months).
Avoid replacing meals with biscuits, as they can reduce appetite for nutritious foods. Instead, continue offering a variety of home foods such as khichdi, dal-rice, vegetables, fruits, curd, egg (if taken), and finger foods. Offer 3 meals and 2 snacks daily, without forcing feeds. Keep milk intake moderate (around 400–500 mL/day) so that hunger for solids develops.
There is usually no need for any appetite tonic if the child is active and growing. Please consult your pediatrician if there is weight loss, persistent feeding refusal, vomiting, swallowing difficulty, recurrent illness, or poor weight gain.
Greetings
Sudden food refusal at this age can be consistent with standard developmental shifts, teething discomfort, or an emerging desire for feeding independence. Since the baby is active, playful, and maintaining a healthy fluid intake, a medical appetite stimulant or tonic is generally not recommended or medically indicated without direct clinical advice. Instead, try transitioning from smooth purees to varied finger foods, minimizing pressure during meals, and spacing out milk feeds so the baby is sufficiently hungry for solid foods. If the food strike persists for more than a few weeks, or if you observe a decrease in wet diapers, lethargy, or sudden weight loss, a comprehensive check-up with a pediatrician is necessary.
It's normal for babies to eat less solid food for a short time, especially when teeth are coming in, when they move around more, or when they are growing and learning new things. The good news is that he is still active, drinks his milk well, and is gaining weight okay. If you are bottle feeding him, kindly stop it.
