Baby eye infection
My 2 month old baby boy has got eye infection. There is yellow discharge and water coming from the left eye. Eye is slightly reddish. Please let me know how to handle this during lockdown days.

Hi.. I can fully understand your worry. Since it is only one eye which is affected..  it's highly likely to be due to lacrimal duct block.. you have to learn the duct massage and no need of using any drops.. Clean eyes with lukewarm water. Put Tobacin eye drops two drops three times daily for five days. Watch for cold or nasal block..if present also put nasoclear nasal drops in both nostrils 4times daily. Watch for any fever or any other symptoms and seek assistance.

Please apply gentamicin eye drops one drop two times a day for 7 days and consult ophthalmologist after lockdown

Clean eye with Luke warm water ( from inner side to outer side) every morning. Any boils / furuncle  near nose , lips , mouth? Any fever? These questions will decide further treatment.

Kindly learn Lacrimal sac massage and cleaning of eye 4 times a day and use Moxicip eye drop 1 drop three times a day for 7 days

Clean eyes every 6-8 hrly with cotton swab soaked in Luke warm water followed by put Drop Toba 2 drops of discharge is very significant.. meanwhile do eye massage from Root of nose in downward direction every 6 hrly in a day
