Hi there are many reasons why baby cries during night 1) Crying is a way of communication with the mother to get her attention 2) Baby's stomach capacity is small It cannot take more milk at at a time So every 2 to 3 hours may get hungry and cry Please watch the nature of cry It is vigorous and demanding Over a period of time you can differentiate hunger cry from other cry 3) Feed. Breast feed . during the night  more often as there is more milk produced during night because of Hormone Prolactin 4) Look for wet diaper and change it 5) May be colicky pain / gas trapping if burplng is not done properly after breast feeding 6) Comfort the baby by rocking movement If all these causes are ruled out and if your baby is still crying Consult your doctor .
