Hello,
My spouse is 16 weeks pregnant and our doctor has recommended daily dose of Baby Aspirin 81mg. I would like to know if this medicine is safe for the mother and baby? Is this a normal medicine that every women takes and if there are any side effects?
Thanks!

Hi
Aspirin is safe in pregnancy.
If indicated usual dose is 150mg.
Is this her first pregnancy?
Based on patients profile , your doctor can better clarify the need for starting
Aspirin is prescribed during pregnancy in specific conditions only . It has its own side effects and advantages.
However it is considered safe weighing the advantages over side effects.
