I noticed that your BMI = 30 which is in the Obese category 1
Obesity is one of the risk factors for NASH which can lead to derangement of Liver enzyme values
Therefore even though your absolute AST ALT values are in the normal range which shows there is no issue
It is advisable to get an extensive workup (history, investigations) done to rule out any other associated illnesses which can affect quality of life and so that a good lifestyle and treatment plan can be devised to bring the body back to optimum state
If you feel I can be of better service to you
Feel free to book a one to one consultation via practo or you can even pursue via WhatsApp

AST and ALT are only interpreted with the rest of the liver function tests. If your bilirubin blood test, Prothrombin time (INR) blood test along with your platelets blood tests are normal then you don’t need to do anything. You do have a very high BMI. Share more information about why you got the blood tests done.
All the best.

Your AST (25 U/L) and ALT (10 U/L) are both well within normal limits. The confusion is because the AST/ALT ratio becomes high whenever ALT is on the lower end of normal, even though both values are healthy.
A high ratio only matters when the enzymes themselves are elevated.
In your case:
AST is normal
ALT is normal
Ratio appears high only due to mathematics, not due to liver disease.
This pattern is commonly seen in completely healthy individuals and does not indicate any liver damage. No further evaluation is needed unless you have symptoms like fatigue, jaundice, abdominal pain, alcohol overuse, or metabolic issues.
If you want me to review your complete reports, guide you on liver health, or clear any doubts, you can message me directly on nine three two six zero two zero five three six. I answer personally and explain everything in detail.
Your liver enzymes are normal.
The high ratio is just a mathematical effect of ALT being on the lower side of normal.
No clinical concern unless values were elevated or you had symptoms.

Both your AST and ALT are normal, so the AST/ALT ratio doesn’t matter.
A “high” ratio is only meaningful when enzymes are elevated. Nothing to worry about.
