Hi Doctor,
I have been dealing with generalised anxiety disorder for about 10 months. During the course of 10 months I had been trying various cognitive behavioural theraphy and supplements to cope with my anxiety.
I could not achieve 100 percent success from CBT alone, so I was trying some supplements like St.Johns Wart and then sam-e.
Currently I am trying sammy(Wockhardt) 200mg once daily. It has been a month I am taking sammy. After first two week, I really felt a huge difference in my ability to control my anxiety. I was able to think clearly. I was able to better control my obsessive thoughts. In short I felt like I am myself again after a long time. But for the past two days I am not able to sleep properly. I feel like my brain is not tired to sleep. And I am not able to sleep for the whole night. I feel it is the side effect of sammy. Can you advice me on any approach to deal with insomnia because of sammy.
Thanks.

Sam-e is S-adenosyl methionine. The dose that you are taking is inadequate. It's clinical effect is better at 800-1600 mg/day.
The insomnia that you are feeling is unlikely due to this but most probably is due to your anxiety disorder.
Generalized Anxiety Disorder usually needs pharmacotherapeutic interventions and it is unlikely to respond much to supplements.
Next Steps
contact a psychiatrist for a detailed evaluation and implementation of a proper management plan.
Health Tips
