Dear sir I feel that you are bothered by occasional breathlessness. Be clear that anxiety related breathlessness is not cause any harm unless you have respiratory illness. I would suggest for deep breathing exercises whenever you feel this symptom. Regular aerobic exercise also help a lot. Remain busy, spend time in leisure activities and hobbies.

1- Try to do meditation if not sitting alone listening to meditation music and do the same 2- try to analyse the situations after which you get shortness of breath as that will help you to be prepared for the same and you can take a break if u feel so in that particular situation. 3- In a day do give 5mins to concentrate on your breathing patterns that will help you to have control on your breathing in anxious situations

Hi, Good to hear that you have recovered from anxiety. Shortness of breath can be due to respiratory, cardiovascular (heart), anxiety and other various reasons. Need detailed history and evaluation to rule out the causes. In your case, as you are young and already experienced anxiety, it looks like shortness of breath is due to unresolved anxiety. Anxiety can also disturb your concentration, attention, sleep and mood.

If your breathlessness is due to anxiety, then the most important trigger is your focus on your breathing. Your body can draw in sufficient amount of oxygen without your voluntary attention. So keep your mind busy with a distraction, especially when you feel this shortness is coming back. It will take a few minutes, but with practice you'll be able to distract from this symptom in few seconds. Stop yourself from monitoring your breathing or any other physiological process. I don't think meditation will help you if your attention goes to your breathing while meditating or relaxing. You can give it a try though.
