Anxiety coukd also be one of the resins for your IBS.. It is better to consult a psychological Counselor for a therapy session.. If there is any  medical intervention is needed psychologist will recommend for thr same. I suggest you to consult a therapist first..

Hi... Typically, Psychiatrists prescribe medication based on diagnosis and Psychologists conduct Counselling/Psychotherapy. Some Psychiatrists also practice therapy but their approach may be different. For Anxiety, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) will work well. If Irritable Bowl Syndrome (IBS) is because of severe anxiety, it will also get better. But if the root of IBS is something else, it will require medical attention.
Next Steps
Consult a Psychologist for Counselling/Psychotherapy. CBT will work well in your case.
