Hi
Yes, anxiety can cause palpitations even during sleep. When your body stays in a “fight or flight” mode, stress hormones trigger racing heartbeat, restlessness, or sudden waking at night. Since your cardiologist confirmed your heart is normal, it points more toward anxiety.
Practicing slow breathing, relaxation before sleep, limiting caffeine, and addressing anxious thoughts can reduce these episodes. If it continues, working with a psychologist can help you break the anxiety–palpitation cycle.
