Cause for ur insomnia is the underlying depressive symptoms ... which needs treatment with antidepressants ... Antidepressants doesn't cause so much of sedation ... Dose can b adjusted as per ur response to the treatment at the same time not leading to sedation. Social anxiety also responds to same medicines ...but along with it u need to expose gradually to social situations while following relaxation techniques ...
Next Steps
start meditations immediately
Health Tips

I suggest you to visit psychiatrist for detailed assessment and treatment and not neurologist.
