It means Effexor ( venlafaxine) is working for you. It has to be continued for long even if your symptoms have completely vanished.

Anxiety with Depersonalisation symptoms can come and go rarely, occur frequently or persist indefinitely. Depersonslization is a consequence of normal or abnormal hyperstimulation of stress response mechanism. It is advisable to continue the medicines as per your Psychiatrist's advise. You may also approach a counselling psychologist to correct the pattern of your stress response mechamism. In case of recurrent episodes, it will be recommemded to opt for Integrated treatment i.e. a combination of Homoeopathy (which will treat the root cause n reduce/stop frequent episodes without any side effects.) along with (allopathy) conventional medicine (which will help control the acute episodes).
Next Steps
1) Continue medication as per Psychiatrist. 2) Approach a counselling Psychologist. 3) In case of recurrent episodes, start treatment from a Homoeopathic Psychiatrist along with ongoing conventional medicines.
Health Tips
1) Learn Breathing exercises. 2) Focus on your normal breathing pattern.
