Antibiotic overkill?
My 4 year old daughter was presribed 10 days of cefprozil antibiotic for an ear infection. The ear felt better within 12 hours. I know traditional advice is to continue the antibiotic for the full 10 days. However there appears to be emerging evidence that this practice is unecessary and even harmful--depending on the infection--and that it may be better to stop a few days early, or etc. What is your view and is there harm of continuing the antibiotic for 10 days after she is better?

Please complete the full course of antibiotics because there may be early symptomatic relief but infection is not clear completely and if you stop medicine early then it may be harmful and give rise to resistance against antimicrobial agents..
