Giving Anesthesia is like a menu card in hospital . The Anesthetist will tell you all the options availble withs its pro and cons and you have to choose accordingly. Would suggest to for spinal or epidural depending on time.

Request for spinal anesthesia and sedation where the anesthesist would give you medications for you to fall asleep after spinal anesthesia which would be better than going for general anesthesia.
Next Steps
Consult your anesthesist for this option

Yes, you can request for general anaesthesia but it has its own risk too. Its better you have a talk with your surgeon and anaesthetist before deciding on the type of anaesthesia, they will suggest you which one is better based on your general health condition.

Yes. We can change it. Once you plan for surgery, we can consult anesthetist and according to them and by discussing it with you, we can plan the anesthesia that will be suitable as well as safe for you.

The anaesthesiologist will choose the safest anaesthesia plan for you, taking your medical condition into consideration. Your preference will also be taken into account. For fistula surgery, spinal anaesthesia with sedation is commonly preferred in many cases, and with sedation, you are usually comfortable and may not be aware of the procedure. However, the final choice depends on your overall condition, including your SVT, and the anaesthesiologist’s assessment.
