Anal fissure
Since 2 years I have this issue with fissures. Months back it was healed also with proper home care. But last year in the winters it became really bad. My old pain came back and then again I healed. But now in the current situation the scary part is that even if my stool is soft it pains. I am scared if I will be able to pass normal stool or not in future without pain. I went in depression. I want to consult u regarding the same. I have a hope that I will get out from this with my own efforts without surgery. I want to get back to my normal life.

Chronic anal fissure can recur due to sphincter spasm and incomplete healing, even if stools are soft. Most cases improve with conservative management including stool regulation, local care, and medication to relax the anal sphincter.

Hello, First of all, please do not lose hope. Chronic anal fissure can be very painful and emotionally exhausting, especially when pain continues even with soft stool. Many patients develop fear of passing stool, which further increases muscle spasm and delays healing. When pain persists despite soft stool, it is often due to internal sphincter spasm and incomplete healing of the fissure, not necessarily something dangerous. Recurrence during winters is also common due to dryness and reduced water intake. Surgery is not always required, especially at your age. Many chronic fissures improve with proper long-term management, relaxation of anal spasm, diet regulation, and constitutional treatment. Your condition is treatable, and you can return to a normal life.
Next Steps
Since this issue has been recurring for 2 years and is now affecting you emotionally, a detailed consultation is important to understand bowel habits, stress factors, diet pattern, water intake, and spasm tendency. With proper assessment, a structured treatment plan can be made to reduce pain, prevent recurrence, and gradually restore confidence in bowel movements. You may consult me on Practo for personalised and confidential guidance.
Health Tips
✔ Immediate relief measures • Warm sitz bath 10–15 mins twice daily • Adequate water (2.5–3 litres daily unless restricted) • High-fiber diet (natural sources) • Do not delay urge • Avoid straining ✔ Psychological aspect • Fear of pain tightens the sphincter muscle • Relaxation breathing before passing stool helps • Try not to anticipate pain ⚠️ When surgical opinion may be needed • Persistent severe pain for many months • Sentinel pile with non-healing ulcer • Recurrent bleeding

Hello, I truly understand how distressing and exhausting recurrent fissure pain can be especially when it returns even after healing and when pain occurs despite soft stools. The fear of passing stool, anticipation of pain, and the emotional stress that follows can deeply affect daily life and confidence. You are not alone in feeling this way, and many patients with chronic fissures go through similar physical and emotional struggles. The fact that your fissure has healed before is a very positive sign. It means your body has the ability to recover. Recurrence often happens due to increased sphincter spasm, local sensitivity, stress, or incomplete internal healing — not just hard stool. Pain even with soft stool usually indicates persistent muscle tightness, hypersensitivity, or chronic fissure tendency, which can be treated. Homeopathy focuses on: Reducing pain and burning Healing the fissure from within Relaxing sphincter spasm Preventing recurrence Addressing fear, anxiety, and depression related to bowel movement Treatment is individualized, gentle, and aims to avoid surgery whenever possible. Many chronic fissure patients recover well with proper constitutional treatment and supportive care. It is completely understandable that you want to return to normal life — and that is a realistic goal with the right treatment and guidance. If you wish to consult confidentially, you may contact: Dr. Jyoti Kadkol Health Global Homoeopathy Clinic www.healthglobalclinics.com
