Alternative to Premolar Extractions
The dentist told me to get 4 of my premolars extracted for straightening my teeth. I really don't want to extract and retract and I have seen so many negative facial profile issues post treatment of extraction therapy. I came across non-surgical palete expansion and Is it possible to make some space with that procedure? Or is there any other alternative besides extraction-retraction? Where can I find a doctor in Chennai who does that? I'm 20 years old and I don't want to reduce my tongue space and contrict dental arch.

Our experts from the department of orthodontics suggest you to kindly send some more details, like a panoramic x-ray, more intraoral pictures but unless an orthodontist examines your condition clinically it's impossible to arrive at a treatment plan. It's better to follow your orthodontists suggestions. He is the best judge.

These pictures won't help much I need diagnosing. Thorough clinical and radiographical required for such cases. Virtual clinical observation won't truly help.

Must see clinically , if aesthetics is good and u need only alignment teeth and u don't want teeth to move back. Then can be done without extraction with self ligating braces and if required inter proximal reduction. Have to check with x-rays too.
