From your explanation what I would say that you are probably suffering from hives(urticaria).It's mainly due to food allergy(especially peanuts, eggs, nuts and shellfish), also can be due to infection or drugs taken for some condition. It presents with itching resulting in formation of red rashes.It can be symptomatically treated with antihistamines so that you do not get any new hives.
