Millets contain some ANTI NUTRIENTS which actually blocks absorption  of certain  nutrients hence it has to be   soakedand cooked.. Hence consumption  in raw form is to  be avoided And millets are to be taken  only under the guidance  of a trained Dietitian specially with thyroid conditions because it has a negative  role with regard to certain medical  conditions.
