Hi User ! as per your history and MR scan findings, you seem to have a complete ACL tear. better is to settle down the swelling in another two weeks time and bring a complete painless range of motion meanwhile. Also prepare for an ACL reconstruction Surgery simultaneously by getting necessary tests done. Only follow an experienced Arthroscopic Surgeon for surgery. Surgical intervention in time shall save you additional irreversible meniscal and cartilage damage that might occur as your knee pivots/buckles/gives way with high demand activities in an ACL deficient knee. Please consult your orthopaedic surgeon for necessary evaluation and management.

Conservative: Knee quadriceps exercises for 3-4 weeks. Then start with normal work. If you encounter instability or loss of strength as compared to the other knee. Then think of Arthroscopic ACL reconstruction (surgery) Likewise if you lead a sporty lifestyle then my suggestion would be surgery for you to have a stable and reliable knee.
