Breastfeeding is best for the baby instead of formula milk ,having more nutrients in it and better digestibility...
Try to give breastfeeding in proper positioning and proper attachment for better feeding (u can see image of attachment and position in Google also having 4 points each)
If you have not enough milk
Causes are
1..maternal factors such as stress, anxiety, lack of sleep, low nutritional diet
2..improper attachment and positoning while feeds to baby
How to improve
1..take full nutritious diet, 2-3 litres water daily
2..take adequate sleep and free from stress and anxiety
3..proper position and attachment to baby while on breastfeed
4..take 2-3 slices of dry coconut two times a day for better milk secretion
5...Use satavarax powder for same , 1teaspoonful in one glass of milk twice a day
6...Give more feeding in night
Next Steps
follows the above steps
and be confident
Health Tips
1..give foremilk and hindmilk to baby
2..dont use feeding via bottle
always use katori and spoon while giving formula milk
3..formula milk given in proper dilution
4..after each feeding, always burp the baby to avoid aerophagia which leads to colicky pain

Breast milk is the best option since it has many advantages over formula milk.
I will suggest you to go ahead with trying to feed breast milk only. Even if you are not getting milk, atleast put baby on breast for 15 minutes before each feed, as it is the only way to stimulate production of milk.
If the baby wont suck you won’t get milk.
Take lactation classes if needed.
Now coming to vomiting after formula feed( only if breast milk is not available at all)-
1. Make sure the dilution is correct(60ml lukewarm water plus 2 scoops of formula) Since baby is 1 n half month old requirement of milk increases. Make sure you feed baby every 2 hourly. Keep track of the feeds/
2. Make sure to burp atleast 20 minutes after feed
3. You can drink jeera water to increase production of milk
4. Lactare capsules can help but take them after consulting a obs/gyn doctor
5. Have enough water as breast milk is mostly composed of water
6. Eat fruits and vegetables as usual
7. A sign that baby is fed well is good urine/ stool.
Usually 6 times per day stools

hi, generally breastmilk is always a better option than the formula milk because the nutrients we want to give to our baby is more in the breastmilk and the digestibility is also better. First, I’ll let you know what can be the causes of low breastmilk for which you have to keep a check which can alter your supply if any of these present then your supply will decrease.
(any kind of stress, improper attachment, in frequent feeding, bottle, feeding, improper diet, less water intake)
Next Steps
Check for the above mentioned things
1. Work on the above mentioned things try to control the anxiety and negative thoughts that the milk is not coming or is not enough for the baby.
2. Take at least 3 to 4 L of water and a good balanced diet
3. if you’re giving formula feeds please don’t give it with a bottle. Try to give it with a nifty cup that is available online or Katori spoon.
4. Check with lactational expert For proper attachment over the breast because if there is not proper attachment, then automatically the milk supply will decrease since the Baby is not able to latch properly, and the signals are not going to the brain that the baby is feeding For which more Milk is needed.
5. there is one remedy that has been useful for a few patients when you eat the fruit try to eat all the seasonal fruits and most important by a raw papaya boil it and eat it twice a day for three days. Many people were benefited from this. Eat half papaya at a time and take small one.
Now for the vomiting that the baby is having after the formula feed
1. First check the dilution that is mentioned over the box don’t make over diluted or over concentrated milk. (30ml needs 1 scoop Powder).
2. Try to start slow first make 30 ML and give to the baby and then make the baby burp and then feed again. Try to feed your breastmilk first and then the top feed.
3. Try to change the milk powder you’re giving because sometimes some powders are not tolerated by the baby.
4. Always burp the baby for 20 minutes after every feed either breast-feed or top feed.
5. Even after all this, the baby is vomiting, and the baby is not gaining weight. Please contact again.
