9W-3Days Pregnancy Spotting
Hello Doctor, My wife is 9W 3Days Pregnant Today she had little spotting in her underwear Our consulting doc suggested to get fresh ultrasound done. Attaching the report here. Doc has also asked to increase dose of Duphaston for 7 days. Instead of 2 doc has asked to take 3 doses per day. She also asked to take injection maintain-250 IU IMI My queries 1. What is the reason behind spotting? Over exertion? She has 9 hrs job & has to take stairs for home & work 2. Anything in diet to be taken care of? 3. Anything else to be taken care of? Looking forward to your response. Thank you.

It could be due to excessive exertion and lack of adequate rest during early pregnancy along with inadequate hormonal support

As long as the cardiac activity is good there is no reason to worry about the spotting. Continue with normal activities. Progesterone support may be given ( duphaston) twice daily is sufficient. If you are given inj Proluton depot 250 mg weekly then no need of duphaston. They are the same medicines. It will not harm the pregnancy but not needed. One of the two is sufficient.overexertion and stairs will never cause miscarriage.
