7.8 Uric Acid
Hello Sir/Ma'am, I have Uric Acid on the high side(7.8). So i visited the doctor he gave some medicines and told me to avoid red meat, beer, broiler chicken and to have only local chicken. My question is- Apart from all these foods as mentioned above, can i have fish, like Indian fishes like Rou, Ilish and all? And if I should avoid fish can you please kindly tell me what fishes I should avoid for uric acid? And also can I have all fruits and vegetables or there are certain fruits and vegetables that I should avoid? Please kindly let me know about the fishes that I should avoid and also fruits and vegetables that I should avoid. Kind Regards, Manas Medhi.

Hey, seafood benefits are more than the risks. Avoid tuna, sardine, anchovy and shellfish. They can increase uric acid. Always remember to stay hydrated. You dont want uric acid stones to develop. So drink lots of water. You can eat fruits and vegetables as they are overall good for health. Cabbage in excess is not good. The rest of which as your doctor has advised is great and you should totally follow that. After a month or two, get uric acid levels tested again.
Next Steps
Adhere to hood lifestyle advice and get uric acid tested again after 2 months
Health Tips
look out for pain in joints especially big toe and any back pain or difficulty while urinating.
