Hello sir
My bestie is having uric acid 6.6 and is on Febustat 40mg morning and evening. How long he have to take medicines? And one more thing sir can he take Guggul Mlamrita tablets along with that? Plz reply. He is take stress of uric acid.

Quite appalled your friend is using this medicine twice daily
This drug should not be used to treat asymptomatic hyperuricemia.
Even if there's symptoms it is used for 2 weeks at 40 mg once initially, check uric acid level after 2 weeks, continue till it is 6 or below
Ask your friend to get liver function tests to see if there's any alterations in liver enzymes ,due to increased frequency of dose

Not advisable to take 2 times a day.. reduce uric acid rich diet ,drink plenty of fluids it will wash away in urine... Minimum 15 glass of water per day.
