20 days old new born baby crying alot
Doctor i make baby sleep side ways after each feed. Is it ok ? And baby cries a lot after feeding also. He is on formula milk as my nipples have some issues (flat) which makes laching difficult. 60ml per 2 1/2 hours I am feeding, 1 week before it was 30-40ml ( baby weight 3.36kg) as he use to hungry my doctor asked to increase feed quantity. Want to know about which position is good for baby as now i m making him sleep on side ways. And reason for crying.

Not every cry is due to hunger. A neonate may cry while passing urine, diapers are wet or temp is cold. So first 3 weeks it is difficult to know the reason. Encourage breastfeeding, can do nipple syringing (for flat nipples). If you shift to top feeds now, then breast milk will dry up and then child will be only on top feeds unfortunately. No bottle feeding as it can cause gas and child may remain irritable. Child should be sleeping on back after burping for 30 minutes. If still having doubts, then can take a consult.

Age of baby? Birth weight of child. Current weight of child U should give demand feeding followed by burping. Lying down with head end elevation.
