Greetings It is very common for sleep to become disrupted around 6 weeks due to growth spurts and increased environmental awareness. Being awake for 7–8 hours often leads to "overtiredness," which paradoxically makes it much harder for a baby to stay asleep. Try keeping "wake windows" short (about 60–90 minutes) and watch for early cues like staring or ear-pulling before she gets fussy. If she wakes crying quickly, it may be trapped gas; try different burping positions or "bicycle legs" to help her settle. Using a dark room, white noise, and a snug swaddle can help her transition between sleep cycles more successfully.
