2 year old with UTI??
Hello, my 2 year old daughter having frequent urination (3-4 times per 1 hour) last 2 days. Today 3rd dat she got fever 101 but frequent urination has stopped. 2 episodes of fever today. Please advise what antibiotics should I start? bactrim syrup? Urine culture will comeback in 3 days but it will be too late. Thank you!! 14.5 kg weight.

Antibiotic use can only be decided by your pediatrician after getting details and check up. Fever by itself does not require antibiotics. Viral fever is most likely if she is active and eating well. More details are needed. Please visit a pediatrician and take a second opinion
