"Calcium & Vitamin Supplement Doubt"
"Doctor, if I take Shelcal 500 Plus Ultra D3 2K instead of Shelcal XT, is there any chance of getting a little bone pain or not? "After stopping Shelcal XT, I have been taking Shelcal 500 with Ultra D3 2K for the past one week. For the last one week, I feel like I have a mild bone pain. Could this be because of this change?"

The switch from Shelcal XT to Shelcal 500 with Ultra D3 2K is very unlikely to be causing the mild bone pain — both contain the same 500mg of calcium, and the Ultra D3 2K actually provides significantly more Vitamin D3, which is beneficial for bone health. The mild bone pain you are experiencing over the past week is more likely coincidental or due to other factors unrelated to the supplement change. Vitamin D deficiency itself causes bone and muscle aches, but starting a higher D3 dose would improve that over time, not cause it.
Next Steps
Continue your current supplement and monitor symptoms over the next 1-2 weeks. If the bone pain persists or worsens, see a doctor for a Vitamin D level check. Please consult me directly on Practo for a detailed evaluation.
