Yellow discharge from ears

Asked for Male, 1 Years

We could see yellow discharge from my baby's ear. Attached is the pic .. consulted doc and they said it middle ear infection. Gave drops as well . They said feeding posture is not proper . But I don't feed baby laying down . I keep His head is always higher than his lower body not sure how come milk entered his ear . Can check?

Hi. This appears to be middle ear infection. The most common cause is improper feeding position, but it need not be the reason always. A simple cold can also cause ear infection in children. Continue to feed in the correct position, treat any cold/runny nose promptly to avoid ear infection in the future. Make sure that water doesn't enter the ears while bathing the baby.
